Carl S. Miller, 74, of 1483 E. Walnut Street, Annville died Tuesday May 8, 2012 in his residence. He was the husband of Patricia Schaffner Miller with whom he would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary this August. Born in Annville on July 17, 1937, he was the son of the late William M. and Clara E. Fox Miller. He was employed by Met-Ed, Inc. working at Three Mile Island. Carl served in the US Navy and was a 1955 graduate of Annville High School. He was a member of the Annville United Methodist Church where he was a trustee and served on the Pastor/Parrish Relations Committee, member and past commander of the Lebanon Navy Club Ship 91 and the Met-Ed Retirees Association. He was a long time baseball coach for the Annville Legion, Annville-Cleona High School, and the Annville-Cleona Youth League as well as a coach for the Annville YMCA Biddy Basketball Team. Carl enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid Penn State, and New York Mets Fan. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons Jonathan K. husband of Lorraine Miller of Centreville, MD, Michael S. husband of Jackie Miller of Annville, two daughters Robin D. Miller of Hummelstown, Corine B. wife of Scott Marshall of Annville, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers William Miller and James C. Miller, Sr. and three sisters Grace O’Donnell, Gladys Cassell, and Josephine Sanderson. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Visitation will be held from 11-12 Noon Tuesday at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville prior to the service. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Ste. 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9638.
